LASER SHOT
Corporate Rebrand • Creative Direction • Brand Identity • Digital • Environmental Design
THE CHALLENGE
LASER SHOT® had established itself as a leader in simulation and training technology, but its visual identity no longer reflected the sophistication, innovation, and breadth of the company.
The challenge was bigger than creating a new logo. The brand needed a more unified and contemporary identity that could communicate the company's capabilities across multiple audiences, platforms, and environments.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The rebrand was an opportunity to reposition LASER SHOT® through a stronger updated visual language, something built around technology, precision, performance, and innovation.
Rather than treating each communication as a separate design project, I developed a cohesive brand system that could scale across corporate communications, digital experiences, marketing materials, and large-format environments.
CREATIVE DIRECTION
I led the creative development of the new LASER SHOT® identity and directed its application across the brand experience.
The visual system was designed to be confident and technologically sophisticated while remaining flexible enough to support the company's diverse products and services.
BRAND EXPERIENCE
The rebrand extended across the complete customer experience, including:
* Corporate identity and logo
* Brand design system
* Print and marketing communications
* Sales and presentation materials
* Website redesign
* Digital marketing assets
* Trade show booth and environmental graphics
Each application was designed as part of the larger brand system, creating a consistent experience wherever customers encountered LASER SHOT®.
Create distinction
Develop a stronger visual identity that would differentiate LASER SHOT® within a competitive technology and training marketplace.
Build consistency
Establish a flexible design system that could be applied consistently across print, digital, and environmental communications.
Build consistency
Establish a flexible design system that could be applied consistently across print, digital, and environmental communications.
Communicate performance
Use typography, graphic elements, imagery, and composition to reinforce the precision and technology behind the company's products.
ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN
The trade show environment became an important extension of the brand. I was tasked with creating a better way to transport and set up booths. After extensive research and vendor searching I was able to design the first inflatable SIMBOOTH. Large format fabric graphics attached with velcro. SIMBOOTHS can be engineered and configured in any size. Once the show is over the team just folds everything up and puts it in a crate.
The Large-format graphics, messaging, imagery, and spatial design were developed to create a strong presence on the exhibition floor and communicate the scale and capabilities of LASER SHOT® from a distance.
The goal was not simply to create an attractive booth, but to create a physical brand experience that could attract attention, establish credibility, and ease of use. Ultimately saving money of logistics.
DIGITAL EXPERIENCE
The website translated the new identity into a digital environment, creating a clearer and more cohesive presentation of the company's technology, products, and capabilities.
The design balanced technical information with strong visual communication, making a complex offering easier to understand while reinforcing the sophistication of the brand. Due to the nature of the business visitors had to select a division before content could be shown. The divisions extremely important because civilians could not able purchase military or law enforcement products.
MY ROLE
Creative Direction • Brand Strategy • Identity Design • Art Direction • Web Design • Marketing Design • Environmental Design
I led the creative vision from identity development through implementation, ensuring that the new brand remained consistent and purposeful across every touchpoint.
THE RESULT
The rebrand gave LASER SHOT® a more unified, contemporary, and scalable visual identity with the capability of representing the company across corporate communications, digital platforms, and physical environments.
More importantly, the project transformed the brand from a collection of individual marketing materials into a cohesive brand experience.
It demonstrates my approach to Creative Direction: understand the business challenge, establish a clear creative vision, build a system around that vision, and lead its execution across every meaningful customer touchpoint.
